The application is a specially designed game, based on the “treasure hunt model”, where a visitor – step by step, following the “clues” – discover parts of the complex built by the Roman emperor Galerius. It is not created as a replacement for traditional guided tours, but as an innovative site interpretation through a stronger interaction between the historical heritage of the palace and visitors, as well as to enable “ordinary” tourists to learn something more in an interesting and understandable manner. Felix Romuliana is a archaeological site close to Zajecar in Serbia which is under UNESCO protection, visited by approximately 40 thousand tourists a year. It is one of 20 sites sites within DCC “Roman Emperors’ Route and Danube Wine Route” – a cultural route which is certified at the European Institute of Cultural Routes in Luxembourg.
