“Socio-Economic Development of the Danube Serbia Region” is an EU IPA 2011 funded programme that is implemented by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). This is the first programme in the context of the implementation of actions and measures of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region in Serbia. During this programme, the DCC successfully provided consultancy services for the Development of a Territorial Marketing Strategy, a Destination Marketing Plan, Marketing Tools and Products for the Danube Serbia Region.
During 2015, the DCC finalised the development of an overarching territorial marketing strategy, focusing on the potentials and challenges of five identified key sectors – agriculture, transport, environment, SME development and culture, and the development of a strategic destination marketing plan for the Danube Serbia Region, which contains: a touristic marketing tool box for municipalities along the Danube – a series of tourism related directions for actions related to the Danube Serbia Region’s tourism potential and two marketing products: the “Belgrade Hidden Places” mobile application and the “Danube in Serbia – 588 impressions” promotional film.
