In line with 2018 as EU-China Tourism year organized by the European Commission in collaboration with the European Travel Commission, and funded by the European Union, the Danube Competence Center took part in the joint marketing campaign aiming at presenting the Destination Danube on Chinese market.
There were three other partners involved – German National Tourism Board, Hungarian Tourism Agency and National Tourism Organisation of Serbia. This campaign should be a “door-opener” for promoting the Destination Danube on overseas markets.
Starting in 2018 Q4 (and ending in March 2019), so far several activities were executed – three roadshow events in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai followed by the official campaign launch event at CITM Shanghai. Roadshow events gathered more than 300 participants while the at CITM more than 100 people attended the presentation. Online campaign and media FAM trips should follow.
