Project name: Central Danube Tour (Enhancing the tourism development in the Central Danube cross-border region)

Lead partner: Regional Development Agency of Slavonia and Baranja ltd for international and regional cooperation

Project goals: Project aims to strengthen tourism development through development, management and promotion of unique cross-border Central Danube tourism destination, area shared by two regions – East Croatia and West Serbia, by integrating multi ethnic heritage, nature and culture related resources and  attractions in one joint offer visible on local, regional and international market.

• Creation and development of new cross-border tourism destination – Central Danube Destination
• Enhancing the skills of tourism operators and development stakeholders in destination development, promotion and management
• Upgrading the quality and diversity of tourist offer
• Increase the visibility of the tourism offer of cross-border Central Danube destination

Key activities:

• joint training for upgrading the capabilities and capacities of sector stakeholders
• upgrading the organization and transparency of supply by creating joint tourism products and services presented through 9 new thematic cross-border routes
• increasing the competitiveness of the tourism sector by ensuring joint management of the destination platform and promotion tools to target groups (Central Danube Region cross-border network, Danube festivals, Danube sticker, website upgrade, PR material)
