Five new cyclist counters were set as a part of EcoVeloTour project in which the Danube Competence Center participates.

Four of them are located on the border crossing ensuring that accurate data about cyclo-tourists is collected:

Backi Breg: Border between Serbia and Hungary, located on EuroVelo 6 & 13, close to Gornje Podunavlje Special nature reserve
Bezdan: Border between Serbia and Croatia, located on EuroVelo 13, close to Gornje Podunavlje Special nature reserve
Bogojevo: Border between Serbia and Croatia, located on EuroVelo 6, close to Gornje Podunavlje Special nature reserve

The fifth counter is set at Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade, the city island on Sava river and the most visited swimming place and playground in Belgrade.

Several small-scale infrastructure projects are included in EcoVeloTour project aiming to facilitate the implementation of the newly developed ecotourism strategies. Being Serbian EuroVelo coordinator, the Danube Competence Center was responsible for the deployment of automatic monitoring system for cyclists along the Serbian sections of Eurovelo routes.
