Day 1: Welcome drink and sightseeing of the Osijek city center and Tvrdja Fortress, the first large city in the string of baroque fortified cities on the border of Ottoman Empire. This is followed by a tour of the vine cellar in Erdut, where the largest wooden barrel in the world is kept and is still being used. Scheduled dinner with provided tasting of famous Erdut wines, and overnight stay.
Day 2: After a traditional breakfast, drive to Bac, a charming town dominated by the best preserved medieval fortification in the area of Vojvodina, with remains of Turkish hammam and active Frankish monastery. Tour of Bac Fortress and the surrounding area. Lunch and continuation of the trip to Novi Sad, European Culture Capital of 2021. Accommodation in a hotel, free time and dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 3: After breakfast, a walking tour of Novi Sad center – Synagogue, City Hall, Name of Mary Parish Church, Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska street, Danube park. Ride to Petrovaradin Fortress, lunch on the Danube bank and a walking tour of the fortress with a visit to the underground military galleries. Free time, dinner overnight stay.
Day 4: Breakfast. Departure to Fruska Gora Mountain, visit to the monasteries Krusedol and Hopovo, two of the 16 active monasteries thanks to which it was named “The Serbian Athos”. Visit to Sremski Karlovci, lunch in a wine cellar and degustation of the best local. Tour of the city center with fountain of the Four lions, famous Karlovci Gimnasium, Magistrate, Patriarchate Court and The Chapel of Peace. Return to Novi Sad, free time, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: After breakfast the group departs from Novi Sad for the Croatian border. Tour of Ilok, a medieval town full of historical sights. Visit to the vineyards. Lunch with tasting of prime wine from famous Ilok wine cellars. Return to Osijek. End of program
