Slavonia, Baranja, Srem and Backa are the areas where people have always lived with music. The songs of tambourine players are an integral part of the local culture of living and an indispensable part of every friends or family gathering.

This trip will introduce you to the world of folk songs and instruments of the Danube region, tambourines, double bass and violins, which local musicians will play for you wholeheartedly. With music and folklore, you will enjoy traditional dishes and drinks, from village to village, from Salas to Salas, from Carda to Carda. Accompanied by music during your whole trip,  you will see the most beautiful parts of the Danube, Nature Reserves and Ethno houses, where the hosts will show you their hardworking, but exceedingly calm and happy life.

Day 1: Group arrival in Osijek, sightseeing in the city centre and Osijek Fortress. Visit Kopacki rit Nature Park where you can observe between 35 and 63 bird species. Lunch in Baranja House Karanac with a tour of the Lost Time Street. Dinner and overnight in a rural household.

Day 2: After breakfast, group departure to Sombor, the greenest city of Serbia, known for its fairy-tale avenues and elegant carriages.  From the comfortable carriage seats, you can enjoy the local architecture and vibrant city atmosphere. After the city sightseeing tour and lunch, group departure to Backi Monostor, a village surrounded by the Danubian river branches and canals. Backi Monostor is, hence, also called “a village on the seven Danubes”. Sightseeing of the village and visits to the rural household, tasting local specialities accompanied by tambourine music. Return to Osijek – program ends.
