This year we are celebrating 10 years since the Danube Competence Center was founded – in cooperation with architecture students under the mentorship of Academician Branislav Mitrovic and the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia, and with the support of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, we organize an exhibition entitled “Danube Museum” in the Art Gallery of The Ilija M. Kolarac Foundation.
Exhibition “Danube Museum” presents the projects of seventeen second-year master’s students at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. The main goal of this thematic exhibition is to research the cultural and exhibition potential of the Danube River in modern times, as well as to examine the measure of architectural activity in the sensitive natural environment of the river, and the future museum’s attitude towards ecosystem, microclimate, river dynamics and its flow. Each student project included in this exhibition is in itself an individual character and specific in the choice of topic, location and spatial intervention.
The opening will take place on June 23rd at 7 PM. The Gallery is open from 1 PM – 8 PM during working days and from 10 AM – 3 PM on Saturday. The Art Gallery is closed on Sunday. Monday, June 29th is the last day of this exhibition.
