Ms. Gordana Plamenac, Chairperson of the Board of the Danube Competence Center, participated as a panelist in the “Regenerative Cultural Tourism” discussion at the 11th International Danube Conference on Culture.
Held on September 12-13, 2024, in Krems an der Donau, Austria, the event focused on innovative and sustainable approaches to cultural tourism in the Danube region. The conference aimed to present international projects and financing opportunities, address challenges, strengthen community cohesion within the Danube cultural tourism and art sectors, highlight the importance of cross-border cooperation, promote cultural diversity in the region, and foster networking and collaboration through face-to-face interactions. Ms Plamenac has presented the Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route at this event.
The panel emphasized the importance of involving various regional actors in shaping a sustainable future across generations.
The conference was organized by the State of Lower Austria, the Working Community of the Danube Regions (ARGE Donauländer), the Ministry for Science, Research and Art of Baden-Württemberg, the European Danube Academy Ulm, EUSDR PA3, the Autonomous Region of Vojvodina, and the Danube Cultural Cluster.
