We are glad to announce that the “Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route” managed by the Danube Competence Center, has been featured on the official website of Visit Europe, operated by the European Travel Commission (ETC). As a non-profit organization, ETC plays a key role in promoting Europe as a top travel destination in long-haul markets, supporting sustainable tourism and cross-border cultural discovery. This recognition highlights the unique blend of history, heritage, and wine tourism offered by the route. We are honored to be part of ETC’s mission to inspire unforgettable journeys through Europe’s most captivating regions.
The route is currently being further developed through the #RomansWineDanube project, supported by the Interreg Danube Region Programme with co-financing from Interreg Funds, and is now halfway through its implementation timeline.
